We offer the lowest prices on the net, provide free US shipping, have hundreds of detectors in stock in our warehouse and offer toll free support before and after the sale. While others have come and gone, we have been in business since 1983 and are here to support you.
Is my on-line order secure? Yes! Your order is secure. Your order is processed using Secure Sales Server technology on every transaction processed. This technology begins by utilizing 128 Bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. SSL encrypts the transmissions from both the server and your computer. Put simply, the transmission from the server forms a matched pair with the transmission from your computer, so that only data to and from these sources can be valid. Returns:
What is your return policy? Since 1983 we have offered a return policy that is quite simple. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Within 14 days of receipt of your on line order, you may return or exchange any item in original condition. Holiday gifts may be returned through January 8th. All products must be unused, in the original packaging and with the manufacturer's original warranty and manual. Round trip shipping & insurance fees are your responsibility. You must call for a return authorization code before shipping any product back for a refund or exchange.
What are your privacy and security policies? In completing your purchase you will be asked for the following information: Your name and address information (this should be given exactly as it appears on your card statement) Your credit card number, type and expiration date Your e-mail address (this is needed to send your order confirmation)
What happens to this information? This information is used to validate your credit card payment. Detector Electronics Corp., like all other merchants, is obliged by banking regulations to keep backup copies of this information for audit purposes and to process inqueries and refunds.
Detector Electronics Corp. will make no other use of your information. Nor will it provide it to third parties for any purpose other than described above.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, PaidByCash, Check Cards, ATM Cards, Checks & Money Orders (Once Cleared) Government and Corporate Purchase orders (With Approved Terms). You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.
When will my credit card be charged?
We don't think you should pay for your order until it is actually on its way. We will not bill you until your product(s), including backordered or preordered items, are actually shipped. If your items are shipped separately you will be billed each time an item is shipped. How will the charge appear on my credit card? The charge will appear on your credit card as: "Detector Electronics Corp." or "metaldetector.com" or "Metal Detector"
Do I have to pay sales tax? We charge applicable sales tax for orders shipped to Massachusetts. We will gladly credit sales tax for tax exempt purchases. Just fax us a copy of your tax-exemption form with an address matching your order's billing or shipping address to 508-626-0135.

Can I order without a credit card?
In addition to Credit Cards, we may accept Checks, Money Orders and Wire Transfers.
What address should I enter in the billing information screen? For credit card verification, you must enter the address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
Why are you not accepting my credit card? There are many reasons for a failed credit card transaction. Your card may have expired or reached its limit or a credit card computer, either on our end or your bank’s end, may have encountered a machine error. Do you ship to my country? We ship to all countries except those with trade sanctions in place with the United States.
I live outside the US. Will I have to pay customs fees? If you live outside the United States, custom and tariff fees may apply according to your countries import laws. These fees are not collected by Detector Electronics Corp., and we do not have control of these fees.
When will my backorder ship? Although we try to maintain inventory of all products in the warehouse, occasionally an item will be back ordered. Normally, the product will become available in a few days. You will receive e-mail notification as soon as the product ships. As a reminder, your credit card will not be charged until your order has been shipped.
Can I change my shipping address? Once your order has been placed, you must call to change your shipping address as long as your shipment has not left our dock.
